The JDS Help Project's viability depends on the contributions of individuals. Anyone who wishes to participate may do so. If you have ever belonged to a forum or mailing list you have seen people ask for help and for the most part receive it. Sun's Java Desktop System's Forum provides community help every day.

As Forums grow, the same questions often pop up over and over again. Often some person or persons will sift through thousands of posts and compile a list of frequently asked questions or FAQs. Think of JDS Help as a place where frequently asked questions wind up compiled with one exception: We also function as a resource center to provide answers and access to components such as hardware drivers, RPMs and procedures people need to quickly solve their problems.
